Sea Turtle Nesting at Con Dao

Con Dao National Park protects the nesting sites of the critically endangered hawksbill sea turtle and the vulnerable green sea turtle. Nesting season runs May to October; rangers guide night tours to observe females coming ashore to lay eggs. The islands also have some of the best-preserved coral reefs in Vietnam, with a marine protected area that covers roughly two-thirds of the surrounding sea.
