Hang Doi (Bat Cave)
A 250-million-year-old limestone cave system near Kho Muong village — moss-covered chambers, bat colonies, and a dramatic jungle approach.
Overview
Hang Doi — Bat Cave — is a 2.5 km limestone cave system near the remote hamlet of Kho Muong in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Formed roughly 250 million years ago, the cave features moss-covered stalagmites and stalactites, cathedral-like chambers, and large colonies of bats in the deeper sections. It is one of the few caves in the Pu Luong area that can be explored without a guide, though a local guide (easily arranged at nearby homestays) adds considerably to the experience.
