District 2 (Thu Duc City)

Thu Duc City — formerly District 2 — lies across the Saigon River from District 1, now a sprawling administrative unit created in 2021 from three merged districts. The Thao Dien neighbourhood within it has the highest concentration of expats in Vietnam, with international schools, Western restaurants, and riverside cafes. Vinhomes Central Park and the Landmark 81 tower — the tallest building in Vietnam at 461 metres — are also here.
