Con Son Town

Con Son is the only sizeable settlement on Con Dao, a small colonial-era town of wide streets, French administrative buildings, and a seafront promenade. The town has a handful of guesthouses, restaurants, and the island's one hospital. Most visitors base themselves here and take day trips around the island. The atmosphere is unusually quiet for a Vietnamese beach destination — there are few motorbikes, no nightlife, and the streets empty by 9pm.
