Bac Lieu Bird Sanctuary

Bac Lieu Bird Sanctuary is a protected mangrove and wetland reserve on the province's coast, home to large breeding colonies of storks, herons, and egrets that nest in the dense tree cover. Raised boardwalks and observation points let visitors move through the reserve without disturbing the birds, with the largest concentrations visible during nesting season.

A short drive from Bac Lieu city; early morning or late afternoon offer the most bird activity.
