Ban Ho lies deep within the Hoang Lien range, its wooden dwellings and terraced fields set along the riverside, reached via a bridge over the Muong Hoa stream. Home to Tay and Red Dao communities, it offers a more remote experience than villages closer to Sapa town, with basic homestay-style accommodation available for those staying overnight.
Best visited April-May or September-October.
