Overview
A rotating set of hill tribe markets runs on different days around the wider Sapa region: Bac Ha every Sunday, Can Cau on Saturdays, and Coc Ly on Tuesdays. H’mong, Dao, and Phu La communities travel in from surrounding villages in traditional dress to trade textiles, livestock, and produce, making these some of the most colourful and authentic market scenes in northern Vietnam.
Arrive by 8am for the busiest trading and best light. Best visited in spring and autumn.
