Quang Tri
Overview
Quảng Trị is a province on Vietnam's central coast, between Huế to the south and the former Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) to the north. The province saw some of the heaviest fighting of the Vietnam War — the Khe Sanh combat base, the Rockpile, and the Long Vien Bridge are all within its borders — and war tourism is the primary draw for international visitors. From July 2025, the new Quảng Trị province has expanded to absorb the former Quảng Bình province to the north, making Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park now part of the same administrative region.
