Chau Doc & the Cambodian Border
Interests:

Overview
Chau Doc sits at Vietnam's northwestern corner, 30km from the Cambodian border on the Hau River branch of the Mekong. The town is a market hub and departure point for boat trips to Phnom Penh. Sam Mountain, 5km from town, has Buddhist and Hindu shrines at multiple levels and a sweeping view over the rice fields to Cambodia. The floating fish farms on the river — catfish bred in cages suspended below houseboats — are an unusual sight unique to the border region.
