Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary

Bang Lang, in Thot Not district outside Can Tho, is a private garden that has grown into one of the delta's largest stork roosting sites, with thousands of birds returning each evening to nest in its bamboo and trees. A viewing tower gives an elevated look over the garden, and the spectacle of storks streaming in against the sunset is the main draw.

Best visited in the late afternoon, arriving before dusk to see the birds return; numbers are highest outside the nesting off-season.
