Saigon Skydeck (Bitexco Financial Tower)
Overview
The Saigon Skydeck occupies the 49th floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower — at 262 metres, HCMC's most distinctive skyscraper, recognisable by the helipad jutting from its side like a lotus petal. The observation deck offers 360-degree views over the city, the Saigon River, and on a clear day, as far as the Mekong Delta. Particularly striking in the golden hour before sunset or after an evening rain shower clears the haze.
Get There
Located at 2 Hai Trieu Street, District 1 — about a 10-minute walk from Ben Thanh Market, or a short Grab ride from anywhere in the city centre. The Skydeck entrance is signposted inside the tower.
Hotels
District 1 surrounds the tower with accommodation at every price point. Budget guesthouses cluster around Bui Vien; mid-range and luxury hotels line Dong Khoi and Le Loi.

The observation deck has a café/bar — a cocktail here at dusk is one of HCMC's more memorable experiences. Avoid midday in the rainy season when cloud cover can reduce visibility. On clear mornings the Mekong Delta is faintly visible to the south-west.
**Photography:** Bring a wide-angle lens. The glass viewing panels are clean and reflection-free if you press your camera directly against them.
