Da Nang has a lot of hotels. Too many, honestly — the strip along Võ Nguyên Giáp facing My Khe Beach is wall-to-wall towers, and picking one without a good recommendation usually means ending up somewhere that looked great in photos but doesn’t quite deliver. We’ve stayed in or visited most of the options below, and this list cuts through to the ones we’d actually book again.
A note on areas before you choose: My An and the beach strip (Son Tra side) is where you want to be if you’re here primarily for the beach. Hai Chau (the Han River side) is better for nightlife, restaurants, and city exploring — the beach is a 10–15 minute ride. If you’re staying a week or more with family, a serviced apartment makes more sense than a hotel room. We’ve covered that option too.
1. InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort luxurySon Tra peninsula
The best resort in Da Nang, and genuinely one of the best in Vietnam. It sits on the northern tip of the Son Tra peninsula — the forested headland above the city — carved into the hillside above a private cove. Getting there takes 40 minutes from the airport, which sounds like a lot until you arrive and realise why the location matters. There are no other buildings in sight. The jungle comes down to the water. Wild monkeys appear on the terraces in the morning.
Bill Bensley designed the whole property, and it shows — everything is considered, a bit theatrical, nothing feels generic. Rooms start at around $350 a night, which is expensive by Da Nang standards but comparable to what you’d pay for far less in Bangkok or Bali. If you’re splashing out anywhere in central Vietnam, this is the place.
2. TIA Wellness Resort luxuryBeachfront · Son Tra
If you’re coming to Da Nang specifically to slow down — not to party on the beach strip, not to eat your way through the city — TIA is the right choice. It’s an award-winning wellness resort on the Son Tra beachfront with a serious spa programme: daily yoga, tai chi, plant-based menus, multi-day detox packages. The beach it sits on is quieter than My Khe.
The trade-off is isolation. You’re a 30-minute walk or a short taxi from the nearest restaurants and bars, and the minimum stay for some packages is three nights. That’s the point — it’s not designed for people who want to nip out every evening. But if that suits you, the level of attention here is unlike most places in Vietnam.
3. M Hotel Da Nang mid-rangeBeachfront · My Khe
One of the newer towers on the My Khe strip, opened in 2024, and already one of the better ones. 200 rooms, 28th-floor infinity pool looking straight out to sea, and a location directly across from the beach. What makes it stand out from its neighbours is that it’s properly finished — new construction in Da Nang can be hit or miss on build quality, but M Hotel got it right.
A heads up: the pool gets crowded on weekends and during peak season (June–August). If a quiet rooftop is important to you, weekday mornings are the time to go. Some rooms facing the street-side pick up road noise — request a sea-view room when booking.
4. Sala Danang Beach Hotel mid-rangeBeachfront · Son Tra
The Sala is a consistent performer — it doesn’t try to be the flashiest hotel on the strip, and it doesn’t need to. The rooms are well-proportioned, the breakfast is actually good (not the Vietnamese hotel breakfast cliché of limp cold cuts and instant coffee), and the 25th-floor views over the beach are the kind you want to start the morning with. It has a private breakfast lounge for higher-category rooms that makes a difference if you’re travelling as a couple and want to avoid the buffet crowd.
Close to the beach, good value for the quality, and staff who know what they’re doing. That’s the Sala.
5. Pullman Danang Beach Resort luxuryBeachfront · Bắc Mỹ An
The Pullman sits on Bắc Mỹ An Beach, the quieter southern stretch, next to the Furama but newer and better maintained. It’s the pick for families: the grounds are large enough that children have room to move, the pool is proper-sized, and the beach here is calmer than the My Khe stretch further north. The watersports programme (kayaking, windsurfing, paddleboarding) keeps older kids occupied.
The breakfast is one of the better hotel spreads in Da Nang — a genuine buffet with Vietnamese and Western options that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The Accor loyalty programme applies here if you collect points.
6. Golden Lotus Grand Hotel mid-rangeNear beach · An Thượng
Opened in 2022 and still feels it — the Golden Lotus is surrounded by the An Thượng area’s restaurant and café strip, which makes it a good base if eating well is a priority. The 12th-floor rooftop infinity pool has sea and city views, and at this price point that’s not something you take for granted. It’s not beachfront — you’re a short walk to the sand — but in exchange you’re in the middle of the best neighbourhood for food in Da Nang.
An Thượng has become the address for Da Nang’s better independent restaurants, craft beer bars, and coffee shops. If your days are beach and evenings are eating and drinking, this location makes sense.
7. Novotel Danang Premier Han River mid-rangeCity side · Hàn River
The Novotel sits on the Hàn River side of the city rather than the beach side — a choice that suits some trips better than others. If you’re in Da Nang for business, or you want to be walking distance from the city’s restaurants, Dragon Bridge, and the Bach Dang riverside promenade, this is the right side of the river. The Han River and city views from upper floors are excellent — night shots of the Dragon Bridge from your room are genuinely good.
The yoga classes at $2 USD are a nice touch and consistently well-reviewed. The spa is competent. It’s a 5-star Novotel in the truest sense — solid, professional, reliable, nothing surprising in either direction.
8. Fivitel Da Nang budgetCity side · Hàn River
The best value on the Han River side, and probably the best-value hotel in Da Nang full stop at this price point. The views from upper-floor rooms — river on one side, ocean glimpses on the other — are what you’d expect to pay significantly more for. The staff are consistently praised, the free underground parking is genuinely useful if you’re renting a motorbike or car, and the rooms are solid for what you’re paying.
The bathrooms in some older rooms can be slippery — worth knowing if you’re travelling with older guests. Breakfast is limited rather than lavish, so budget for eating out in the morning, which is no hardship in a city with as many good street breakfast spots as Da Nang.
9. Monarque Hotel mid-rangeBeachfront · Son Tra
A smaller boutique property on Võ Nguyên Giáp, directly across from the beach — 75 rooms, properly decorated (not the copy-paste neutral palette that plagues mid-range Vietnamese hotels), and with complimentary afternoon tea served from 2–5pm, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve spent a few hours in the sun and want somewhere to sit down. The rooftop views are good; the feel is more considered than most options at this price.
It’s not in the densest part of the restaurant strip, so dining nearby requires a short walk or Grab. For couples wanting something with character rather than scale, it’s worth the slightly lower convenience.
10. Risemount Premier Resort luxuryBeachfront · My Khe
A 5-star beachfront resort on the northern end of My Khe, Risemount sits directly on the sand with an outdoor pool that merges visually with the sea beyond it. The rooms are large — the Superior Sea View is 45 sqm, junior suites push past 65 — and the finishing is genuinely upscale without the price tag of the InterContinental. The beach section here is wide and well-maintained, and the hotel keeps sun loungers available for guests without the scrum you get at some of the strip’s busier properties.
The in-house restaurant uses decent local produce and isn’t an afterthought. For beach-focused travellers who want five-star comfort but can’t justify the Son Tra peninsula rates, this is the strongest mid-to-upper option on the strip.
11. HAIAN Riverfront Hotel mid-rangeCity side · Hàn River
The HAIAN is a well-regarded mid-range option on the Han River in Hải Châu, consistently praised for two things: the staff and the breakfast. The riverside setting means the city-view rooms have the Dragon Bridge framed in the window at night — not a bad thing to wake up to. It’s not a beach hotel, but the location puts you close to the city’s best restaurant streets and the market.
Well-maintained, staff who follow through on requests, and a restaurant that does a solid Vietnamese and Western breakfast. The Han River terrace is the spot for an evening drink watching the city settle. For city-side stays at a reasonable price, it’s one of the better picks.
12. TMS Hotel Da Nang Beach mid-rangeBeachfront · Son Tra
TMS is a large tower on Võ Nguyên Giáp, directly facing the beach, with one of the best rooftop pools in Da Nang — long-lane, sea-facing, with a swim-up bar. The property is a step up from the mid-tier strip options: the lobby is properly designed, the rooms are proportioned generously, and the beach service (sun loungers, food and drink delivery) is well-run. Sea-view rooms from the mid-floors upward are genuinely good.
It’s a high-occupancy hotel — 330 rooms — so the pool and breakfast room can get crowded during Vietnamese school holidays (June–August) and Tết. If you’re coming in the shoulder months (March–May or September–October), it’s significantly better value and less congested.
13. Furama Resort Danang luxuryBeachfront · Bắc Mỹ An
Furama is the original five-star on Bắc Mỹ An Beach, opened in 1997, and it’s held up because the fundamentals are right: eight hectares of gardens running down to a wide, clean stretch of beach, three pools, six restaurants, and villas that don’t feel cramped. The renovation cycles have kept the rooms current, and the service culture here is more deeply ingrained than most newer properties — staff who’ve worked here for years rather than a rotating entry-level team.
It’s right next to the Pullman, which is newer, but Furama has the gardens and the track record. If beach resort consistency matters more than shiny-new, this is the more reliable bet. It also has one of Da Nang’s better Vietnamese restaurants on site.
14. Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort mid-rangeBeachfront · Non Nước
A smaller, lower-key option on Non Nước beach — 4-star, independently run, and considerably cheaper than its resort neighbours. Sandy Beach has the kind of grounds that larger properties used to have before they started maximising room counts: bungalow blocks set back from the beach, large gardens with direct sand access, and a genuinely relaxed pace. The pool faces the sea and isn’t surrounded by deckchairs stacked three-deep.
It’s not a luxury hotel, and the rooms are showing some age, but if you want a proper beach-facing resort room without the resort price tag, it holds up well. The Non Nước area is worth considering for families who want fewer people on the beach — the Marble Mountains, Da Nang’s best-known attraction outside the city, are a 10-minute ride from here.
15. Four Points by Sheraton Da Nang mid-rangeBeachfront · My Khe
The Four Points sits on My Khe Beach in the An Thượng area, a Marriott property that pitches itself squarely at the value end of the branded hotel market. The rooms are solid — properly sized, reliable air conditioning, blackout curtains that actually work — and the beach access is direct. The rooftop bar and pool look straight out to sea, which at this price point is not a given. It is also one of the few hotels on the strip with a proper lap pool lane alongside the leisure pool.
Marriott Bonvoy points apply here, which makes it useful for frequent travellers collecting or redeeming. The breakfast is one of the more consistent spreads on the strip — they do a decent attempt at both Vietnamese and Western options rather than the usual token pho station. For travellers who want a recognisable brand, beach access, and no surprises, this delivers on all three.
Honourable mention: Aether’s Apartments
Not a hotel, so it doesn’t belong in the numbered list — but worth knowing about if you’re in Da Nang for more than a week, or travelling with children and two suitcases. Aether’s Apartments is what we point families toward: fully furnished serviced apartments with proper kitchens, laundry, and enough floor space that you’re not living on top of each other. Cooking breakfast in an apartment rather than running the hotel buffet gauntlet is a meaningful quality-of-life difference with kids.
The per-night cost works out lower than most hotels once you factor in what you’re not spending on restaurant meals. For a month-long stay or a family of four, the numbers make sense clearly. Management is responsive, maintenance is kept up, and it handles longer-term stays without the gradual neglect you sometimes get from guesthouses that do extended stays.

If you’re watching costs or you’re based on the Hàn River side for work or longer exploring, these five are worth knowing about. None of them made the main list only because we haven’t stayed in them recently enough to write about them with confidence — but all have solid reputations.
- Wink Hotel Danang Centre — A design-forward budget brand doing something different from the usual mid-range formula. Small rooms, done well, in a good city-centre location. Popular with younger travellers and solo visitors.
- Melia Vinpearl Da Nang Riverside — A large river-facing property with Vinpearl’s reliable service standards. Good value for a branded hotel, particularly for families who want predictability without a resort price tag.
- Novotel Danang Premier Han River — Already covered at #7, but worth repeating for city-side stays: if you want a 5-star address on the river, this is the most consistent option.
- Santori Boutique Hotel — A smaller, independently run boutique in the An Thượng area. Reasonable rates, well-reviewed service, and you’re in the middle of the best restaurant neighbourhood in Da Nang.
- Mira del Sol Hotel — A compact mid-range option near the beach strip, better suited to travellers who want beach access without paying resort prices. Rooms are tidy, staff are helpful, and the location works.
Where to stay in Da Nang: quick guide
Beach and swimming first: Stay on the My An / Son Tra side of Võ Nguyên Giáp. The beach is walkable and you’ll have the most hotel options with sea views.
Restaurants and city life: Stay in Hải Châu on the Hàn River side, or in the An Thượng neighbourhood. Dragon Bridge, the riverside promenade, and the best independent restaurants are all in this zone.
Families or long stays: Consider a serviced apartment in the An Thượng area. More space, a kitchen, and usually cheaper per night than a hotel once you account for meals.
Budget: Fivitel on the river side gives you good views and free parking at the lowest price on this list. Golden Lotus Grand is the best mid-range option if you want a pool and beach proximity without paying resort prices.

Before you book: things worth checking
Hotel listings look the same at a glance. These are the details that actually separate a good stay from a frustrating one.
- Exact location, not just the neighbourhood. Paste the address into Google Maps and check what is actually around it — not the hotel’s version, the satellite view. Some hotels listed as ‘beachfront’ are across a four-lane road from the sand.
- Recent negative reviews, specifically. Filter reviews from the last three months and read the one- and two-star ones first. A pattern of ‘noisy air con’, ‘slow lift’, or ‘smelled of mildew’ tells you more than fifty five-star posts about the view.
- Neighbourhood noise. Da Nang has active construction zones, karaoke bars, and early-morning street vendors in some areas. If you’re a light sleeper, check whether street-facing rooms get mentioned in any reviews — and whether upper floors make a real difference.
- Real windows and a balcony. Vietnamese hotels sometimes describe a frosted-glass bathroom window as a ‘city view’. If natural light and fresh air matter to you, confirm the room has an openable window or a balcony before booking — screenshots of the room layout help.
- Elevator situation. Older and smaller properties can have one small lift for the whole building. If you’re on the 15th floor with heavy luggage or have mobility limitations, it’s worth knowing whether there’s a queue at check-in time.
- Check-in procedure. Some Da Nang hotels don’t staff the front desk overnight. Da Nang gets a lot of late-flight arrivals — confirm there’s someone there to receive you, or that self-check-in is properly set up, before you land at midnight.
- Cancellation policy. Vietnamese public holidays and peak beach season (June–August) often come with non-refundable rates. Read the cancellation terms before you pay, not after the confirmation lands in your inbox.
- Registration requirements. Hotels in Vietnam must register foreign guests with the local police within 24 hours of arrival. Reputable hotels handle this automatically. Budget properties and some guesthouses skip it, which can cause problems if you need a visa extension or are staying long-term. If you’re unsure, ask at check-in.
