Nha Trang in November: Rainy Season Easing, Seafood Peak & Improving Skies

November is a transitional month in Nha Trang — the rainy season is easing, conditions are improving week by week, and by late November the dry season is beginning to re-establish itself. It’s a good month for cultural sightseeing and wellness, and increasingly viable for beach and island activities as the month progresses. Prices are still low and the city is quiet compared to peak season.

Weather in Nha Trang in November

  • Temperature: 24–27°C (75–80°F) — pleasantly warm, cooler than summer
  • Rainfall: Moderate (62% chance) — easing through the month

Best Things to Do in Nha Trang in November

Long Son Pagoda

November is one of the less-visited months at Long Son Pagoda — you may have the hilltop and the white Buddha largely to yourself on a weekday morning. The cooler temperatures make the 152-step climb comfortable, and the views on a clear November day extend across the city to the bay and the islands beyond. The pagoda grounds are peaceful and well-kept. Free entry.

Island Boat Tours

By mid-to-late November, island tours are running more reliably as sea conditions improve. November is considered the start of the peak lobster and seafood season — island lunch stops on Hon Tam and Hon Mieu feature excellent fresh catches. Go in the second half of the month for the most reliable conditions; early November can still be choppy.

Po Nagar Cham Towers

The Cham hilltop temples are at their most atmospheric in the cooler November air — incense from the active shrines drifts over the complex on still mornings and the hilltop feels genuinely removed from the city below. The surrounding area is still lush from the wet season; the views down to the fishing harbour are best on clear mornings in the second half of the month. Entry: 30,000 VND.

Nha Trang Night Market

November marks the beginning of peak seafood season — lobster, crab, and prawns are at their freshest and most abundant. The night market is an ideal place to eat well for very little: a grilled lobster dinner with vegetables and rice costs a fraction of what the same meal would cost in a tourist restaurant. The market is quiet in November, which means more time with the vendors and less pressure to order quickly.

  • Cai River cruise: Leisurely boat journeys through fishing villages along the Cai River are peaceful in November’s quiet season
  • Doc Let Beach: Late November offers increasingly reliable conditions at the quiet beach 49 km north — worth the drive if the forecast is clear

Practical Tips for November

  • Seafood: November–March is peak season for lobster and crab — prioritise these at the night market and local restaurants
  • Prices: Still at the lower end of the year’s range — good value before the December–January peak returns
