Marble Mountains

Museum of Cham Sculpture

The museum housing Vietnam’s largest Cham artefact collection is particularly worthwhile around Tet — some of the sculptures connect directly to the Hindu-influenced ceremonial traditions that still echo in Vietnamese spiritual life. The collection spans the 7th–15th centuries: carved deities, linga columns, and intricate pediments from temples across central Vietnam. My Khe Beach

February’s minimal rain and comfortable sea conditions make My Khe Beach at its most enjoyable. The 20-mile stretch of white sand is swimmable, the seafood restaurants along the beachfront are excellent, and the evening atmosphere — particularly in the week after Tet when the city fills with domestic holiday visitors — is lively. Early morning walks are peaceful and the light is particularly good at sunrise.

Hai Van Pass

Clear February skies make Hai Van Pass one of its best months — the coastal views from the 496-metre summit extend across the turquoise bay to the south and the Lang Co lagoon to the north. The mountain road is dry and the vegetation on the slopes is lush. A motorbike ride over the pass and lunch at Lang Co before returning via the tunnel is a classic Da Nang day trip.
